She then went on to complete a one year medical and surgical internship followed by a rigorous three year surgical residency program at Medvet Medical and Cancer Center for pets in Columbus Ohio. Dr. Lang has been very active in continuing education, and has given numerous lectures on Mast Cell Tumors, Total Ear Canal Ablation and Bulla Osteotomy, Hepatic tumors, Gastric Dilatation and Voluvulus, Gastrointestinal Surgery, Portosystemic Shunts, Perineal Hernias, and Spinal Fractures. She was appointed Medical Director of Nursing, which allowed her to provide training and expertise for her nursing staff. Upon completion of her residency Dr. Lang was asked to stay on at Vetmed Center as a staff clinician and focused on oncologic, soft tissue, orthopedic, and neurosurgery. She also worked closely with the Columbus Zoo, Guide Dogs for the Blind, and Canine Companions in Columbus volunteering her time and surgical expertise.

Dr. Lang provides her patients with the highest level of medical care and believes this is best achieved through a team approach, with emphasis on communication with the family veterinarian and the Veterinary Medical Center Team.
